Poetic Unity Website

Background:

Poetic Unity is a black-led charity committed to addressing systemic racism and its impact on children and young people by using poetry and social action as tools for joy, connection and empowerment.

Challenge:

The main challenge was rebuilding Poetic Unity's website in a way that would capture the themes of the charity and the messages it wants to portray to the public. Poetry and justice are always moving/flowing, so I needed to find a way to create a website that was dynamic and stylish, and truly expressed the themes and core messages of the organisation. I planned to use video and striking imagery to bring this to life.

Results:

The decision to create a stylised video for the home page along with striking imagery helped to bring the ideas and feelings of Poetic Unity to life. The slick layout and colour scheme also helped to pull the design together. The information was successfully laid out for anyone to see what Poetic Unity is about, and with ease.
